I mean currently without signing up for Nextels GPS tracking services. Is thier an application or website or some other method to enter a cell phone number and have it return an application
I've seen on TV private eye get a location via a cell phone. Maybe a better way to ask the question is how can somebody get a cell phones location without having a friend at the phone company giving up which tower the signal is hitting

I get my license in two weeks and I’m looking for a GPS system.
I looked around the Garmin and TomTom sites very briefly but I’d like to get some opinions first.
I’d like to keep it for as long as possible so I could use it both locally and cross-country.
Also, of course, I’m looking for the lowest price possible.
Any recommendations?
Thank you!

Do I have to do any cabling or anything in the plane? or can I get it right away and put it in the plane and it works automatically?

hi, i need the most efficient brand of GPS online tracking device that i can place on my daughter's car (long story of why later) to be able to track her trips online in real time. I would prefer one that is not detectable by her and one the i will be able to track online in real time (can be hours off since we often need to know when and where she is immediately) thanks!

How does it work?
What type of wave is it? (Radio wave, microwave etc…)
What is the wavelength or frequency?
And if at all possible provide a diagram of how it works
thanks!

I know of TomTom, Magellan but what about MIO. They have the new one with the Knight rider red lights going up and down from MIO. Look nice but is MIO a good gps company to buy from.

I'm not sure where to buy a portable gps online. I usually don't buy stuff online that much, I've read a lot about online stores that scam people by charging more money onto their credit cards. So I'm not sure whether or not to buy it online since it's not really that safe.
